Faustlos >>

a curriculum to cultivate children’s social-emotional competencies.

The aim of Faustlos is to prevent aggressive behaviour by enhancing children’s ability to deal with conflict.
Children with good skills in conflict resolution have a higher probability not to resort to violence in disputes, as they do not need to stabilise their feeling of self-esteem at others’ expense.
Faustlos imparts knowledge and skills in the areas of empathy, controlling impulses and dealing with frustration and anger in a manner appropriate to age and stage of development; in so doing, aggressive behaviour is avoided. The three areas or units are divided into lessons that build on each other. The primary school curriculum comprises 51 lessons; the nursery school curriculum consists of 28 lessons.
The program is imparted through pre-school teachers and teachers at nursery schools and primary schools. You can get further information at www.h-p-z.de.
